Kali Mata Temples
There are thousands of Kali Mata Temples in India. I mention here some of the important temples.
1. Kalighat
- It is in the Kolkatta which is the capital city of West Bengal State. Kali Mata Temple is here. This temple is just 12kms away from Howrah Railway Station.
2. Dakshineswar
- It is also in the Kolkatta city. Kali Temple is here on bank of Hugli river. This temple is just 12kms away from Howrah railway station.
3. Ujjain
- It is the district head quarter city of Madhya Pradesh State. Harsiddi Mata (Ujjain Maha Kalikadevi) temple is here. It is just behind the Mahakaleswar Temple. Ghatkali temple is also here at outskirts of Ujjain city. This temple is just 4kms from Mahakaleswar temple.
4. Danre
- It is a small village in Godda district of Jarkhand State. Bam Kali Temple is here. Danre is 60kms from Deoghar.
5. Bhuvaneswar
- It is the capital city of Orissa State. Maa Raksha Kali Temple (Kali mandir) is here in ganga nagar. This temple is just 3.2kms from Bhubaneswar Railway Station and 4.5kms from Lingaraja temple.
6. Cuttack
- It is the district headquarter in Orissa State. Kali mandir is here on the bank of Mahanadi river in Badambadi colony. This temple is just 4kms from Cuttack Railway Station. Cuttack is just 27kms away from Bhuvaneswar.
7. Chennai
- It is the capital city of Tamilnad State. Kali temple is here in Kodambakkam. This temple is just 10kms away from Chennai central railway station.
8. Goregoan
- It is the suburban of Mumbai. Kali Mandir is here in Bangurnagar. This temple is just 6.5kms from Andheri metro railway station and 34kms from Mumbai Central Railway station.
9. Rathnamangalam
- It is a village near Chennai of Tamilnad State. Sri Chakra Kali Temple is here. This temple is 10kms away from Vandalur railway station and 40kms from Chennai.
10. Warangal
- It is the district headquarter in Andhra Pradesh State. Bhadrakali Temple is here and it is very famous one. This temple is just 4kms from Warangal railway staion, Warangal is 145kms from Hyderabad.
I will mention some of the temples later.
Taradevi Temples
There are very few temples of TARADEVI in India. I mention here some of them.
1. Tharapith
- It is a small town in Birbhum district of West Bengal State. Taradevi temple is here. Tharapith is 120kms from Asansol, 220kms from Kolkatta and 77kms from Dumkha of Jharkhand state.
2. Shimla
- It is the capital city of Himachal Pradesh State. Taradevi Temple is on Shimla hill. It is just 12kms away from Shimla on Kalka road.
3. Nalagarh
- It is a municipal town in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh State. Taradevi temple is here. Nalagarh is 50kms from Chandigarh.
4. Bhawan
- It is a small village in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh State. Taradevi Temple is here. Bhawan is just 4kms away from Kangra.
5. Bahi da bagh
- It is a small village in Kangra district of Himachal Paradesh State. Taradevi Temple is here at Taragarh Fort. Taragarh fort is 80kms from Kangra on Dalhousie road and 40kms from Dalhousie.
6. Udal Kote
- It is a small village in Almora district of Uttarakand State. Taradevi temple is here. Udal kote is 20kms from Ranikheth and 40kms from Almora.
7. Atrara
- It is a small village in Meerut district. Taradevi temple is here. Atrara is 12kms from Hapur and 25kms from Meerut.
8. Gwalior
- It is the district head quarter in Madhya Pradesh State. Taradevi temple is here in Birla nagar. This temple is just 4kms away from Gwalior Railway Station.
Some more Tara temples are there in India. I will mention them soon.
Shodasi Devi is the Third one But I can't Trace out any temple of this devi in India or any where.
Sri Bhuvaneswari Devi Temples
There are very few temples of Bhuvaneswari in India. I mentioned here some of them.
1. Yathapalem
- It is a small village in Visakhapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh State. Bhuvaneswari temple is here. Yathapalem is 16kms from Chodavaram on Visakhapatnam road and 30kms from Visakhapatnam.
2. Bangalore
- It is the capital city of Karnataka state. Bhuvaneswari devi temple is here in kempapura. This temple is 13kms from Bangalore Central Railway Staion. Another Bhuvaneswari temple is in Malleswaram and it is just 5kms from Bangalore central station. another temple is in C.V. Raman Nagar and it is just 11kms away from Bangalore central staion.
3. Potheri
- It is a small village in Kanchipuram district of Tamil Nadu state. Bhuvaneswari amman Temple is here. Potheri is 10kms away from Vandalur on Chengalpattu road and 20kms from Chengalpattu.
4. Chennai
- It is the capital city of Tamil nadu State. Bhuvaneswari Amman Temple is here in Bharathidasan colony. This temple is 14kms from Cennai Central Railway Station. another temple is at Andal Nagar, Adambakkam. This temple is just 3kms away from St Thomas Mt Railway staion and 14kms from central railway station of Chennai.
5. Kozhikode
- It is a district headquarter in Kerala State. Sri Bhuvaneswari Temple is here in Koombara. This temple is 3kms from Kozhikode Railway Station.
6. Vadnagar
- It is a village in Mahesana district of Gujarat State. Shree Bhuvaneswari Mandir is here. Vadnagar is 40kms away from Mahesana.
7. Lucknow
- It is the capital city of Uttar Pradesh State.Bhuvaneswari Devi Mandir is here in Adilnagar. This temple is 10kms from Lucknow Railway Station. another Sri Bhuvaneswari Devi temple is in kutubpur, Hasanngunj. This temple is just 2kms away from Lucknow Railway Station.

Bhairavi Devi Temples
Bhairavi Devi Temples are very rare in the world. I mention them here.
1. Ujjain
- It is the district head quarter city in Madhya Pradesh State. Sri Patala Bhairavi Devi Temple is here in Jail Raod and it is just opposite of Kalbhairav Temple. This temple is 6kms from Mahakaleswar temple.
2. Boudh
- It is the district headquarter in Orissa State. It is located on bank of river Mahanadi. Bhairavi Mandir is here near NAC Park. This temple is just 500 meters away from Boudh Bus Station. Boudh is 215kms from Bhuvaneswar.
3. Rajnandgaon
- It is the district headquarter in Chhattisgarh State. Patala Bhairavi Devi temple is here near Asha Nagar. This temple is just 5kms from Rajnandangaon Bus Station.
4. Chitrada
- It is a village panchayat in Mayurbhanj district of Orissa State. Maa Bhairavi Mandir is here. Chitrada is 26kms from Baripada.
5. Salem
- It is the district head quarter in Tamil nadu State. Linga Bhairavi Temple is here in Saminaickenpattai. This temple is 9kms from Salem Railway Station.
6. Bhopal
- It is the capital city of Madhya Pradesh State. Patal Bhairavi Temple is here in Kotra Sultanbad. This temple is 8kms from Bhopal Railway Station.
Maa Chinnamasta Temples
There are very few Chinnamasta Temples in India. I mention here some of them.
1. Guwahati
- It is the district headquarter city in Assam State. Maa Chinnamasta Mandir is here near Kamakhya Devi Mandir. This temple is just 9kms from Guwahati Railway Station.
2. Bishnupur
- It is a town in Bankura district of West Bengal State. Chinnamasta mandir is here. The temple is just 4kms away from Bishnupur Railway Station. Bishnupur is 36kms from Bankura and 140kms from Kolkata.
3. Bankura
- It is the district headquarter in West Bengal State. Maa Chinnamasta Temple is here near Sati Ghat. This temple is 2kms from Bankura Railway Staion. Bankura is 70kms from Asansol and 95kms from Bardhaman.
4. Dishergarh
- It is the municipal town in Bardhaman district of West Bengal State. Maa Chinnamasta Kali Mandir is near here on the bank of river Damodar. This temple is just 200 mtrs away from Dishergarh Bus Station. Dishergarh is 19kms away from Asansol.
5. Rajrappa
- It is a pilgrimage centre in Ramgarh district of Jarkhand State. Chinnamasta mandir is here. Rajrappa is 27kms from Ramgarh and 75kms from Ranchi.

Dhumavati (Dhoomavati or Dhrmravati Temples
Dhumavathi (Dhoomavati) Temples are very very few in India. I mention them here.
1. Mangalore
- It is the district headquarter city in Karnataka State. Dhoomavathi temple is here in urwa. This temple is just 5kms away from Mangalore Railway Station.
2. Paladukka
- It is a small village in Kasaragod district of Kerala State. Sri Dhoomavati Daivastanam is here. This temple is 20kms from Kasaragod.
3. Udipi
- It is the district headquarter in Karnataka State. Saavirala Dhumavati Daivastana is here in kapu. This temple is just beside the Udipi KSRTC Bus Stand and opposite of Alankar Cinema Theater.
4. Athikari Bettu
- It is a small village in Dakshina Kannada District. Nadibettu Dhumavati Daivastana is here. this temple is just 1.5kms from Athikari bettu. This village is just 16kms frm Surathkal and 36kms from Mangalor.
5. Nadsal
- It is a village panchayat in Dakshina Kannada District of Karnataka State. Pai Dhumavati Guddi (Temple) is here beside of Lakshmi Narayan Temple. This temple is just 10kms away from Athikari Bettu Dumavati Daivastana And 19kms from Surthkal.
Bagalamukhi Devi Temples
Bagalamukhi devi temples are also very few in India. I mentioned here some of the main temples.
1. Pappankulam
- South It is a small village in Tirunelveli district of Tamil nadu State. Sree Bagalamukhi Devi Temple is here. Pappankulam is 9kms from Ambasamudram and 4kms from Kalladaikurichi Railwastation.
2. Nalkhera
- It is a nagar Panchayat in Shajapur district of Madhya Pradesh State. Bagalamukhi Temple is here. Nalkhera is 36kms from Agar and 107kms from Ujjain.
3. Sameli
- It is a small village in Kangra District of Himachal Pradesh State. Bagalamukhi Temple is here. This temple is 25kms from Kangra on Ranital-Dehra road.
4. Aligarh
- It is the district headquarter in Uttar Pradesh State.Maa Bagalamukhi Temple is here in Biharipuram. This temple is 4kms away from Aligarh Railway Station. Aligarh is 135kms from New Delhi and 64kms from Mathura.
5. Tewar
- It is a small village near Kachnar city in Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh State. Bagalamukhi Temple is here. This temple is just 16kms from Jabalpur city.
6. Ludhiana
- It is a district head quarter city in Punjab State. Ma Bagalamukhi Mandir is here in Vivek Dham Colony. This temple is just 6kms from Ludhiana Junction Railway Station. Ludhiana is 96kms from Chandigarh and 60kms from Jalandhar.

Matangi Devi Temples
Matangi Mata Temples also very few in India. I mention here some of them
1. Belgam
- It is the district headquarter city of the Karnataka State. Matangi Mata Temple is here in Tilakwadi. This temple is just 1.4km from Belgam Railway Station. Belgam is 102kms from Hubli.
2. Madanapalle
- It is a municipal town in Chittore district of Andhra Pradesh State. Mathanghi Temple is here in Nuthi Radhakrishnaiah Nagar. This temple is just beside the RTC Bustand of Madanapalle. Madanapalle is 113kms from Tirupati and 26kms from Punganur.
3. Nangur
- It is a Vaishnavaite pilgrime centre near Sirkazhi in Nagapatnam district of Tamil nadu State. Raja Mathangi Temple is here near Kudamadu Kuthar Temple. Nangur is just 10kms from Sirkalazhi.
4. Jhabua
- It is a district headquarter town in Madhya Pradesh State. Mathngi Darshn (Temple) is here near Krishi Vignan Kendra. This temple is 2.5kms from Jhabua Bus Stand. Jhabua is 150kms from indore on Dahod road, and 45kms from Dahod.
Kamala (Kamalatmika) Devi Temples
Kamala (Kamalatmika) Devi Temples are very few in India. I mention them here.
1. Chikkaladinni
- It is a small village at Hukkeri Taluq in Belgam district of Karnataka State. Shri Kamala Devi Temple is here. Chikkaladinni is 35kms from Belgam and 35kms from Hukkeri.
2. Dandi Pada
- It is a small village near Palghar in Thane District of Maharashtra State. Kamala Devi Mandir is here near Maha Lakshmi Temple. This temple is 8kms from Palghar and 94kms from Thane.
3. Thiruvarur
- It is the district headquarter city in Tamil Nadu State. Sri Kamalambika Temple is here in Thiruvarur Thyagarajar Temple at Thanjai Salai. This temple is just 1.5km from Bustation. 42kms from Kumbakonam and 25kms from Nagapatnam (Nagapattinam).
4. Challamambapuram (Anjuru)
- It is a small village near Sri Kalahasti in Chittore district of Andhra Pradesh State. Sri Kamala Kannemma Temple is here on a bank of big pond. This temple is just 1.5kms away from Anjuru bustop. Challamambapuram is 15kms from Srikalahasti and 55kms from Tirupati.

ReplyDeleteTrue, The Nilacal Hills in the bank of Brahmaputra river is considered as Shri Shiva Himself. On it, the main Shodashi is Sri Kamakhya Devi. All the other 9 Devis' temple are also situated in and around this Main Temple. This is foremost important pilgrimage of Dasamahavidya Upasakas.

Mention of Gauhati is found above only in the Sri Chinnamastaka heading. As already replied in Ms.Savitri Rao's post, all these 10 Dasamahaa vidya Devis temples are situated at different parts on the Nilachal Hills, at the bank of Brahmaputra river in Guwahati city.
