1.Guwahati 

• It is the district headquarter. It is on the bank of Brahmaputra river.  Kamakhya Temple is one of the 18 Shakti Peethas is on Neelachal hil,  Navagraha Mandir is on a hill of Citrakala, Sukreswara temple is on the bank of Brahmaputra river, Umananda Temple is in Peacock Island, Asvakranta Temple in North of Guwahati. 

2.Tezpur 

• It is a municipal town in Sonitpur district. Mahabhairav Temple is on a hillock. Tezpur is 166kms from Guwahati.
