Pancha (5) Madhava Temples India

                                   There is Pancha Madhav temples in India. Two of them are in Uttar Pradesh, one is in Andhra Pradesh, one in Tamilnad and one in Kerala. 

1. Varanasi 
  • It is well know ancient and holy place for hindus. It is a district headquarter in Uttar Pradesh. It is one of the 12 Jyothirlingas and one of the 18 Ashta dasa Shakti peethas. And also one of the Pancha Madhav Temples. BINDU MADHAV Temple is here. This temple is at Pancha Ganga Ghat of Ganga river. 
2. Allahabad 
  • It is district headquarter city in Uttar Pradesh. It is one bank of rivers Yamuna and Ganga. It is one of the 18 Shakti Peethas. And also it is one of the Pancha Madhava Kshetras. Veni Madhav Temple is here. This temple is at Dharagunj Ghat. Allahabad is 120kms away from Varanasi.
3. Pitapuram 
  • It is a town in East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh. It is one of the 18 Shakti Peethas. And also one of the Pancha Madhava Kshetras. Kunti Madhava Temple is here. This temple is Near Kukkuteswara Temple. Pitapuram is just 22kms from Kakinada and 137kms from Visakhapatnam.
4. Rameswaram 
  • It is a temple town in Ramanathapuram district, Tamilnad. It is on the bank of Bay of Bengal. It is one of the 12 Jyothirlingas and also one of the Pancha Madhava Kshetras. Sethu Madhav Temple is here. This temple is in the premises of Ramanathaswamy Temple with a water tank (koneru). Rameswaram is 170kms from Madurai, 300kms from Kanyakumari and 555kms from Chennai.
5. Tiruvanantha Puram (Trivandrum)
  •  It is the capital city of Kerala. It is one the bank of Arabia sea. It is one of the 108 Divya Desams and also one of the Pancha Madhav kshetras. Sunder Madhava Temple is here. This temple is in the premises of Padmanabha swamy. It is 86kms from Kanyakumari.
